A new level of existence where the physical and digital world merge

Metaverse is a term coined by Neal Stephenson and used to describe a virtual reality (VR) environment in his 1992 science fiction novel Snow Crash. The word “metaverse” combines the prefixes “meta” and “universe,” indicating a layer of reality beyond physical reality.

The metaverse is not simply an immersion into a digital world, it’s much more than that. It’s an entire universe that extends into the virtual world and also to other humans in our physical reality.

The metaverse is a coming together of a number of technologies to produce a vast, rich, 3D environment. Technologies such as virtual reality, augmented reality, and voice interfaces will enable humans to explore this new medium together.

Metaverse has received a lot of attention as one of the most recently developed blockchain projects, with its potential to change the landscape of both social media and advertising.

The goal is to create a “virtual universe” where users can sign up and live their own personalized virtual life according to their own tastes and needs. Rather than existing as just another “social network,” Metaverse seeks to provide an open source infrastructure which users can customize and develop according to their individual needs.

Uses of Metaverse

A virtual reality world that can store data, information, and objects.

  1. Within the metaverse you can create images, text, and audio.
  2. The Metaverse is not limited by physical boundaries.
  3. It is a type of parallel universe where people are able to meet each other through avatars or virtual characters.
  4. It also has the ability to make records of what happens in this parallel universe which can be accessed at any time in the future.

Benefits of Metaverse

Metaverse can offer a lot of benefits for a business. It has a large pool of high-quality avatars, it offers a private and secure digital space to have discussions and share confidential information, it offers an increased trust since you can create your avatar from scratch, and it provides the opportunity to experience augmented reality amongst other things.

Facebook plans for Metaverse

The idea of creating a metaverse has been on the table for a long time. However, with Facebook’s intention to make this idea come true, it is not just an idea anymore.

The company will hire 10000 people for developing its vision of “Facebook Reality.”

Facebook Reality is their new project which they plan on using to merge the physical world with virtual reality in order to create a single augmented reality experience. It will have an emphasis on social interactions and connections with other people.

There are many challenges that the team has to overcome before they can actually start building their augmented reality experience, which is why Facebook needs 10000 developers working on this project ASAP.

Startups in Metaverse

Some startups are creating metaverse platforms that are being designed to solve common problems in VR. For example, there are platforms that will allow you to create a virtual movie theater for your friends.

The idea is that by designing content in VR, not only does it provide a more immersive experience, but it also opens up new possibilities for the way we interact with each other and experience media — without all of the distractions of our phones or TVs.

Blockchain Role in Metaverse

Metaverse is a blockchain-based virtual reality platform that integrates digital and real life spaces. The goal is to bridge the gap between online and offline worlds, making social interactions more meaningful.

Users can create their own buildings, landmarks, and environments in the Metaverse world. They can also explore other user-created environments by downloading them from a library.

Metaverse offers a variety of services within its ecosystem including asset trading, games, educational programs, and business services.

Python in Metaverse

The Python programming language is the most popular on GitHub. It is used in Metaverse to build the stacks of blocks that create new scenes, objects, and avatars.

Python’s syntax is simple and easy to learn. There are plenty of interactive tutorials for beginners who want to learn how to code in Python.Metaverse aims to make VR a more accessible technology by lowering the barrier of entry into VR development for both experts and beginners alike.

In Metaverse, you have two options: JavaScript or Python-like languages called LUA.

CodeGeeko.com — Python Programming for kids

CodeGeeko is a company that teaches Artificial Intelligence to kids in Python programming. They have designed this program for kids aged between 8–14 years so they can have the necessary skillset to be able to code. This program has been designed in collaboration with professional programmers so it focuses on teaching children the basic skillset required for future careers in coding. The way CodeGeeko works is by teaching kids about Artificial Intelligence and how it’s used in the real world, and then teaching them how to code using Python programming languages.
